SATURDAY: THE FARM IN THE VALLEY

Saturday was yet another wonderful adventure. I had the pleasure of spending the day with my dear, friend Nicole. We ventured to the fabric store and picked out material then headed to her house to craft the day away.
Nicole's house is probably on the list of my favorite places to be. She lives with her parents in a quaint, very Pottery Barn-esque home and they have done an excellent job of making it cozy and inviting. Their little farm is nested in a valley filled with gorgeous scenery. Visiting always feels like a retreat and I always leave feeling inspired. It is a charming home where creativity is easily cultivated.
Nicole's room is one of the most wonderful places I have ever been. She has the largest book collection of all of my friends and the perfect space to enjoy them. She has two gabled windows; one with a comfortable window seat and the other displaying an array of  empty glass bottles. Nicole initially inspired my window bottle collection. I am always so enamored by how beautiful  bottles become when the sun shines through them.

The sun room: Where do I even begin? I could live in this room the rest of my life and be completely happy. For as long as I  can remember, I have dreamt of, someday, having a sun room in my home. This one is perfect.
After Nicole and I were cooped up inside for a while we decided to have lunch then walk around the farm for a bit. She showed me her garden and introduced me to her adorable farm animals. Now, I know many of you many not think that turkeys and chickens are adorable, but I love the little personalities you make out in each one.
Nicole pulled up what she thought to be an unsuccessful peanut plant, but was overjoyed to find that it had indeed produced peanuts.

It has been fun having little adventures these past two saturdays and I hope that it continues!
I do plan to take a day trip to Arkansas to climb with some friends over Thanksgiving weekend which is always and exciting adventure.

Have you made any Thanksgiving plans yet?
