MY FAVORITE PLACE: AT HOME

My bedroom: The place where most of my creativity happens. Currently, doubling as a studio space. For me it is a place of solitude and is my favorite space to hang out while being home. I have nine plants within the four walls of my small room; all succulents with the exception of a snake plant and a small cactus. Plants really add a lot to the atmosphere of a room. My book collection is comprised of only my very favorite books - The books that have changed my perspective on life in some way. It includes the Anne of Green Gables series, a few Jane Austin classics, and some inspirational books. The bed, dresser & nightstand set was given to me, by my parents, as a surprise that I came home to after being away at camp one week. I was not excited about it at all at first, but it grew on me as I got older and my style changed; now I love it.
My very favorite part of my room is how bright it is. I love the clean white walls that make it so simple; the two windows that let in the perfect amount of light during the day. There's even a tree outside that gives off the feeling of living up high in a tree house.

Although I may only be living here for a year, I want to make the most of it. I always work best in an environment that is well thought out and put together. I still have a few changes to make in my room with the addition of curtains (that I will be making), and wall art adjustments and will be sure to share them with you!

Have a great Sunday!
